iOS 6 Beta 1 Already Jailbroken

It has been just a few short hours since the developer beta for iOS 6 was released, but famed iOS jailbreaker Musclenerd already has a jailbreak for it, according to a tweet he sent out earlier today. This jailbreak is like most of the ones before it, in that it is a tethered jailbreak that works on the A4 chips, and therefore will not work on anything iPad 2 or newer. However, Musclenerd has stated that it is working on his iPod Touch 4G.

Musclenerd has made it clear that this jailbreak is still in the very preliminary stages, but it is comforting to see the jailbreak community responding so quickly to a new release. We don’t have much word yet on the state of the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak for newer devices, but we should be hearing fore of that in the coming days, as jailbreakers get their hands on and play around with the beta.
